The Chaise Lounge

Chaise LongueDid you know? The chaise lounge (spelled longue, in French), or “long chair” as translated from the French, is a cross between a chair and a day bed and can be used for sitting or reclining and the correct pronunciation is sheyz long. Almost all cultures including the Romans, Egyptians and Chinese developed some form of the chaise lounge. It became considered a “must have” for the stylish home during the reign of King Louis X

I am incorporating  this one into a client’s master bedroom design. This Chaise is from Kravet and is so chic covered in an Alligator patterned, off white chenille fabric!
